Our next Adventure! Starts Now 4/5/23

We are glad to invite you on our next adventure. We have departed our house in Deland Florida and made our first trip a short one. We are spending the day at a very nice Florida Air Guard base in Stark Florida. It’s called Camp Blanding. You can look it up on the internet. It is right on a lake - it’s very beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong straps for our tow dolly. The other ones were shot - so we needed new ones. By the time we arrived I only had one strap on a tire. We spent all of the afternoon looking for car dolly straps. We went to six places and called a couple more. Oh yeah we have them - nope. They are tie down straps. That’s ok, we have insurance and Joan wants a new car. OK, so now hopefully that is the worst event we have on this trip. Not like the catastrophe we had on our twenty nineteen trip. I have some pictures of that one, that I need to up load and explain about that trip. It will be put in with this one eventually.

This trip will be our longest yet. Maybe not in distance but in time. Jumping a head January 2024 we already have reservations for Quartzite in Arizona as we head back east. It is supposed to be the largest RV show in the US. We shall see. The one in Tampa is pretty big. The one in Hershey PA is supposed to be pretty big as well.

So tomorrow we head to Florence SC. To a company called 5 Star Tunning. I’m hoping to get some more horse power out of this motor and transmission. Once that is completed we will head to Hopkins SC for three nights (maybe I can get some new straps). From there we head to Arnold AFB in Tullahoma Tennessee. After a three night stay there we head to Camp Atterburg in Columbus Indiana. We then head to west of Indianapolis for a wedding on the fifteenth. A young man who was stationed with me at Keesler AFB is getting married and has invited Joan and I to his wedding. I’ve seen him a couple time last year while I was passing through picking up motorhomes for LaMessa RV.

From there we will head South to Scott AFB - Outside St Louis. We will be there for a week. As long as there are no storms and Joan can thaw out. From there the adventure continues. We head to Topeka Kansas for a couple days before we start into the Rockies. We will be in Aurora Colorado for three nights before heading to F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne Wyoming. After three nights there we finally stop at a place we have stopped at previously. Hill AFB Utah. After four nights there we head to Mountain Home AFB in Idaho. From here we head to Cheney Washington. It’s between Spokane and Seattle up on I-90. On the 14th of May we are supposed to arrive at the kids house for two weeks. I don’t want to wear out our welcome. We will only be there for two weeks and we are planning on heading to British Columbia and Alberta Canada. Obviously that will be another saga! If I can get my photographer to wake up along the trip we should have some nice pictures. If not I will take lots once we stop.

We hope you enjoy our ride!!!
